Tim Dailey, raised with Quaker sensibilities, has always equated his actions with their effects on society. Although he had lucrative employment in the Tri-State area of Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware, Tim was drawn to the beauty and promise of northern New England. There he was accepted and has functioned in its communities for many years. Art is a sensibility that he has always applied to his work and environment when possible. For many years Tim was a commercial artist, restored antique automobiles, designed and built custom autos and accessories, and held other jobs. For the past twenty years, most of his work has been in the building trades as a designer and builder. Architecture can be a functional form of art lending purpose and beauty to structures and the landscape they meld with. They can and should be usable inhabitable sculptures.

Joe Shelton has been involved with the Tarleton Castle project for the past six years. He has been a professional technical writer and illustrator for over 30 years working mostly in the aviation industry. He is also a skilled carpenter and plays a mean guitar in his spare time. Joe has a great love of the outdoors, long-distance hiking and canoeing and a special affection for storytelling.

Cecily Yarosh studied ceramics at Hamilton College and has taught and taken ceramics at Littleton Studio School. She has also enjoyed bringing ceramics projects to Lakeway Elementary School and the North Country Boys and a Girls Club. As the mother of two school-age children, she focuses on the youth outreach aspect of Tarleton Castle Arts.

“As someone who has sat in the Castle tower for figure drawing sessions, I know that this is an exciting and inspiring place to be, and as a close neighbor of the Castle, I look forward to the events, projects, and people that come to our community”.

Pauline grew up on a small farm in nearby Haverhill. A science educator by profession, she has always had a strong interest in the arts. She plants far too big a garden every year, gives away a ton of vegetables, and travels whenever and wherever she can.

Angel Larcom has spent a lifetime immersed in the arts, from her childhood in Wyoming to present day in New Hampshire. Owner of Larcom Studios, a marketing, web, and graphic design studio, Angel has been keeping a national clientele happy since 2004. In addition to overseeing the daily operations of her business, she writes for a local newspaper, organizes community events and serves on a few other boards and committees.

Ralph Heath completed a thirty-­seven year career in aerospace, retiring as President of the Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Company, a $14 billion company with 26,000 employees at nine locations. He is a member of the boards of the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum, the Community Foundation of North Texas, and the University of Tennessee Colleges of Engineering and Business. Ralph has deep roots in the local community; his paternal grandparents were from Landaff and Bath, and his family shares a part ­time residence on Foster Hill.

Beverly Godfrey brings to the board her expertise as a tapestry weaver and graphic artist. She has previous board experience at the non-­profit Center for Tapestry Arts in New York City. During her three­ year appointment there, she managed the Artist Resident Program. As a long-standing friend of Tim, she has followed the Tarleton Castle from beginning to present day and enjoys the visualization of this labor of love.

Jennifer Wallace has been involved as a volunteer in the Castle project since she moved to Vermont in 2012. She has a background in banking, business development, and project management. Jennifer is an avid outdoor enthusiast and her love for wilderness brought her to hike the entire Appalachian Trail, take solo treks in Patagonia, and hike the John Muir Trail. She feels very passionate about connecting individuals to the natural world as a form of inspiration.

Dan Dailey was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and received his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the Philadelphia College of Art. Dan went on to complete his Master of Fine Arts degree from the Rhode Island School of Design. He is Professor Emeritus at Massachusetts College of Art in Boston, where he founded the Glass Department in 1973. He has taught at numerous schools including Massachusetts Institute of Technology, the Rhode Island School of Design, the Pilchuck Glass School and the Haystack Mountain School of Crafts, and he has given lectures and workshops throughout the United States, Europe and Japan. His work is featured in over 50 museums worldwide, including the Smithsonian, the Metropolitan Museum of Art NY, The Louvre, and the Hermitage.

Jessica Goldblatt is a proud member of the Tarleton Castle Arts board. She is the owner of Interiors Green, a Natural Home store on Main Street in Bethlehem NH. Jessica has two wonderful children and serves as secretary on the board. She loves yoga, natural plastering, all things natural building and design, cooking, walking, reading, DANCING and is happy to be part of the Tarleton community. Little known fact: Jessica can sing Three Blind Mice in a very fancy scientific language.

Rick Weinberg has lived in Bath for 49 years and has enjoyed both the beautiful environment and stimulating community. He has had many differing job experiences including nursery school teacher, professional photographer, realtor, building contractor, certified marital mediator, real estate manager, and most recently, horsemanship coach. Although he is not an artist, he is a great appreciator of art, and he enjoys being around people who are passionate about what they do. Tim Dailey is certainly one of them. “I have watched Tim’s vision materializing over the years and I was excited to be invited onto the board and to play a more active role helping Tarleton Castle Arts evolve.”

Serena Hallowell is a newcomer to the North Country, bringing with her a bountiful array of experience in the arts community. She has been an elementary school teacher at arts-based schools in both California and New Hampshire. During those years Serena helped to fundraise projects, such as starting an organic outdoor garden at the school. Serena currently invests most of her time as a painter, and is a member of the Kittery Arts Association in Maine. In her spare time you will find Serena strumming her guitar with friends or enjoying the outdoors. Serena is excited to share her passion and enthusiasm for the arts and her skills in creating arts-based community projects with the Tarleton Castle Arts Center.
