Open Walls 2026 call for art

Open Walls: A Call for Art at Tarleton Castle Arts

This call for art invites artists of all backgrounds and disciplines to participate in Open Walls, a non-juried group exhibition opening Saturday, August 15, 2026 as part of our annual open house. No theme. No jury. Just art and the people who make it, gathered in one of New Hampshire’s most extraordinary spaces. This is an open call; if you can get your work here and retrieve it after the show, you are welcome to apply.

About the show

Open Walls celebrates the full range of creative expression. We accept two-dimensional and three-dimensional works in any medium, at any scale. There is no theme and no jurying process. Every accepted artist will be represented in the exhibition. Each artist may submit up to two works for consideration.

Tarleton Castle Arts retains a 30% commission on any works sold during the exhibition. Artists should price their work accordingly. All unsold work remains the property of the artist.

About Tarleton Castle Arts

Tarleton Castle Arts is a 501(c)3 nonprofit arts residency center in the White Mountains of northern New Hampshire. Since 2004, founder Tim Dailey has been building the Castle by hand. The castle is a living, growing structure designed to inspire artists, educate communities, and leave a lasting mark on the landscape and the people who encounter it. Open Walls is an expression of that spirit: art made by many hands, shown in a place built by the same.
